Sustainability, Green Cities, Green Infrastructures are all innovative concepts in nowadays Landscape Architecture. We bring today one of the many samples it's possible to be observed in advanced countries. Normand Park, in Fulham, London, received The Landscape Institute Award in Urban Areas in 2009. Let's see what Landscape Institute said about its values: 'The Normand Park project team worked with the local community to create an innovative, high quality green space that reflects the character and history of the area and serves a mixed community with a range of income and ethnic groups. The design philosophy therefore had a key objective to involve local people in the design of the park. The design team especially wanted to include activities for young people that they identify as theirs, placed in the heart of the park. Play in general is viewed as an inclusive activity for all ages.' We agree with this kind of thoughts and use them as part of our key work for public areas and housing estates.
